The green flag flies in only two places in Salo

And one of them is at Teijo's school!

The Green Flag campaign began in Teijo last spring. The theme was zero littering and recycling. The students collected litter from around the village and organized flea markets in the school yard.

This spring we are launching a new theme on energy. A topic that has certainly been on everyone's mind this past year. Today we first gathered with a small group of four people who became my environmental agents. This is how we formed the environmental jury. Four busy students, each from a different class, quickly grabbed a booth with the ideas I had built. They themselves carried out a small energy survey in their own classes. The results of the survey were immediately published on the school wall.

The hot question of the day, raised by a small survey, is: Do energy drinks give you energy?
