As the new nature school days begin, toads also awaken from their hibernation for spring in Teijo.

In search of biodiversity

Teijo Nature School, in cooperation with the City of Salo, is offering a nature school day to all 4th graders in the Salo area this spring. The workshop is new and its topic is biodiversity. The content of the workshop is tied to the OPS 2016 goals.

Note: 3rd graders from 3-4-year-olds can also participate in the workshop.

We have opened 25 dates in the booking calendar for April and May. The booking calendar shows the time between 9:30 and 13:00, which takes into account the arrival and departure times of the bus. (According to the timetable, the bus arrives at 9:42.) The total duration of the day is approximately 3½ hours. The group size is a maximum of 25 students. Lunches brought from your own school are included in the workshops.

Transportation

Transportation is arranged by the ordering school/teacher and paid for by the ordering school. Teijo is served by Paiku bus 30 , which departs from Ollikkalata, continues via the bus station and hospital to Viitannummi and along Merikulmantie to Teijo. Buses run once an hour on school days. The journey time from the bus station is half an hour.

In Teijo, the nature school day begins at the bus stop at the beginning of Teijontie (in front of the Totinpolku parking lot), where an environmental educator will meet the group. The nature school day ends at Teijo school. The day is planned according to bus schedules.

Schools that are particularly far from Teijo will be contacted separately about implementing the nature school day.
